| DIRECTIONS TO THE DANCING GYPSY: We are easy to find at the junction of Routes 9 and 31 in Spencer, MA ~ about one hour from Boston, Amherst, and Hartford, and about 90 minutes from Keene NH, Brattleboro VT, Providence RI, Albany NY, and other points near the MA border. From Worcester: Take Route 9 West into Spencer, then follow the Spencer directions below. From Boston: Take the Mass Pike West to the Sturbride Exit, then follow the Western MA directions below. From Southern VT: Take Route 91 South to the Mass Pike, then follow the the Western MA directions below. From CT: Take Route 84 northwest to Sturbridge, then follow the Western MA directions below. From Western MA or Albany NY: Take the Mass Pike to the Sturbridge exit; then take Route 20 East to Route 49 North. Take a right onto Route 9 East in Spencer, and we are about 2 miles down the road. (If you are coming from the Amherst area, you can just take Rte 9 all the way for a scenic drive ;) From Northern MA/ Southern NH: Take your best road to MA Route 2. Get off at Route 31 south, and follow 31 through Princeton, Holden, and Paxton right to our back door in Spencer. From Providence RI: Take Route 146 north into Worcester; then take Route 20 West into Charlton; then take Route 31 North into Spencer. This will bring you almost to our front door at the junction of 31 North and Route 9 West. When you get into Spencer: look for a large, flat-roofed, 3-story old brick building on the corner of Route 9 West and Route 31 North. There will be a traffic light at our corner, and the building has multiple businesses in it, including a Curves on the first floor. Park in back of the building in the Library lot, or the large adjoining Price Chopper lot. You can also park in the municipal lot on Route 9 adjacent to the Sovereign Bank. Enter by the side door to take the stairs, or by the back door to take the elevator. We are on the second floor directly above the Mexican Grill Restaurant. See you soon! |
