MUSIC:  * Ensemble Davuli *

We are Brian and Dina LeDuke, a husband and wife musical duet playing and
performing together since 2004. Brian was a rock-drumming Renaissance man
and Dina was the Gypsy Dancer who stole his heart. Together we have formed
Ensemble Davuli, named after the big Davul drum that drives much of Gypsy,
Turkish, and Central Asian music. We play multiple percussion and melody
instruments, both ancient and modern, including the mighty Davul itself; hear
what we mean on our debut CD
The Wandering Drum.

The Wandering Drum is a collection of original songs in the style of
traditional Mideastern music mixed with Tribal and Rock Fusion influences.
We sound like and/or have been influenced by the following artists: Gypsy
Caravan, Solace, Djinn, Raquy and the Cavemen, and Turku. Whether for
practice, performance, choreography, or hafla party music, Ensemble Davuli's
magical grooves will make the art of bellydance and Mideastern music come
alive for you. We created our funky fusion sound at Pajammin' Studios (our
home studio), with special guest tracks contributed by Carmine Guida of Djinn,
and several of our other friends who frequent the Dancing Gypsy jam sessions.
